Pam: Looking forward to riding season

My husband and I have a BMW F800ST and currently ride with the Star Touring and Riding group out of Kelowna. Would like to hook up with the BMW club and join you for a ride or two before we join. Not that we don't think you guys are great folks, after all you DO ride BMWs too, but we want to see how well we mesh with your group. Hope to catch up with you in the spring. Happy trails!!

Mike from Canmore: You missed the best pie in the interior

OMG, you missed the best pie in the Okanagan.  Get on up to the KVR outside Kelowna and hit the lodge at Chute Lake Resort.  I assure you, you will go back again and again.  Home made hamburgers are also to die for.  It's a super easy trip on a bike from Kelowna to Chute Lake and then on to Penticton.

Kelster: Buying a new BMW in the USA

Hey Guys,

I'm contemplating purchasing a new F800GS in the USA because even after the exchange and tax, I look to save around $4000, which for me is deal maker.  Never mind the fun ride home to Kelowna.

Have any of you chaps bought a new US bike?

Any problems at the Border?

Do you know if BMW Canada shops will honour the US warranty?

Is there any difference between the US and CAD warranty that could possibly justify the extra dough?  I mean reallly??

Thanks.

Guest: Road trip to San Francisco

Anyone interested in touring down to San Francisco or San Luis Obispo.  I'm making plans to head down there last week of May.  I've got a R1100RT.  I'm going to be putting on some serious miles daily on the way down so no wimps allowed.  Let me know if you are interested.

Jim B.: Hello Beemer riders!

Great to see a site for B.C. BMW riders.  Lots of information here and I hope to get to a few of your breakfasts.  Purchased an 06 LT last fall and hope to get in lots of riding this year.

Take care!

Jim.
