Midway Camp-N-Ride
Description
Our Midway Camp-N-Ride is back for 2025 at the Frank Carpenter Memorial Campground on the north bank of the beautiful Kettle River at Midway. The group campsite is booked from Thursday September 10th to Sunday, September 13th. Midway is located at Mile 0 of the historic Kettle Valley Railway.
We had a fantastic turnouts with great weather last year and we're hoping for a repeat this year. There are several serviced (water & power) campsites in the campground and if you wish to reserve one, please contact the campground directly. (Contact information is in the venue below) Sites last year were $30 + $5 for power but that may have changed.
We have the Group Camp area reserved and there is plenty of room for tents and RV's but there are no services there. Please keep the Eastern part of the group area open for tenting as that is closest to the washroom and shower facilities. Tenting this year is $20 per tent per night. An RV in the group area with no services will be charged $30 per night. Please bring cash as we will be collecting for the group.
We'll have a coffee urn set up each morning so bring your own mug. We usually ask people to bring a breakfast snack to share with the group on Friday and Saturday mornings.
The Mile 0 motel in Midway is the only motel in town, so you may get lucky booking a room if you wish.
As there aren't a lot of restaurants within walking distance of the campsite, we may try to arrange at least one group dinner at the campsite, likely Friday night. We'll let you know of any further arrangements but for this, please come prepared with cash. Last year dinner was $10 per person.

Description
The Midway Waterfront Campground is located right on the Kettle River in the town of Midway. We have the group camping area reserved and they've added a number of new picnic tables to the area this year.
When entering Midway on Highway #3 turn south at the Motel and go approximately 6 blocks south to the stop sign before the bridge. Turn right (west) at the Pub on the corner. Continue past the camp sites to the group site at the west end of the campground.
For any American members the Border Custom's offices at the Grand Forks and the Cascade (Hwy #395) crossings are only open from 8 am to 12 midnight. Midway crossing is open 9AM to 5 PM. Osoyoos is a 24 hr. crossing.
The camp fee for the VBMWR is $10 per tent per night and $15 per RV per night and showers are available. (I'm not sure if it takes loonies or toonies.)
