We have very reluctantly decided to Cancel the Last Chance Camp-N-Ride for 2020.  The Border Closure with the US for non-essential travel has been extended to August 21st at this point and we feel it is very likely to be extended again.  In light of the pandemic we feel it would be irresponsible to go forward with the event at this time.  Hopefully we will be able to fully resume our activities in 2021.  

The Last Chance Camp-N-Ride has been a VBMWR tradition for many years.  For the last several years we have been gathering at Osoyoos Lake Veterans Memorial Campground in Oroville, Washington.  

This year we are pushing into October so the nights will be chilly but we normally have a campfire or two to gather around in the evenings.  As with the Midway camp, this event is well attended by both Canadian and American members.  We benefit from the local knowledge and there have been a number of excellent day rides in the area in past years.  

We normally have several campsites reserved close to the washroom facilities.  Some of these sites are powered.  Prices have been in the $10 (US) per tent per night and we'll confirm that closer to the event.  There are showers on site as well.  

In 2019, we had 8 RV's of various types on hand and some others stayed at local motels.  We also had about 6 canine members in attendance.  In addition, it seemed that the side-car rigs almost outnumbered the 2-wheelers.  All in all, we had a great social weekend and everyone was welcome regardless of how they chose to arrive and camp.  

Oroville has a couple of restaurants that are within walking distance of the campground for dinners.
