I’m the second owner of this beautiful iconic BMW GS.  This is no Garage Queen and it’s been well used and meticulously maintained throughout its life. The odometer shows 65,000 km, but my best estimate is that it has 195,000 km on it.  The original owner had two different digital speedometers on the bike, and I put the original odometer back on it a few years ago when it showed 6500 km. 

While it’s a high mileage bike, it starts and runs perfectly.  Everything works well including the ABS.  I checked the valves and synched the throttle bodies last spring and no adjustment was required after 40,000 km.  A new alternator belt and spark plugs were also installed. The bike has an AF-XiED In-Line Fuel Mixture Enhancement module which solved early problems with surging and allows the use of Mid-Grade fuel.  It runs great on 89 octane.  (Documentation is available)
It currently is equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tires (90/10) that are about half worn.  This is my fifth set of these tires, and I typically get about 16K on a set with great road manners.  The brakes are good.  It has been run with Synthetic oils in all systems throughout its life. 

The bike is equipped with a ZTechnic Wind Screen, SW-Motech quick release Tank Bag, Jesse Luggage, Wunderlich Engine Guards and Powered Mount for a Garmin Montana GPS.  The seat is a Rich’s custom and is very comfortable.  Handlebar Risers add to the comfort on the long haul. 

This is a great touring bike that also handles Forest Service roads with ease.  It’s ready for many more adventures.  It should also be eligible for Collector plates in 2026. I’m selling as I need to thin down the herd.  I’m over 70 and I’ve downsized to an F650GS.  If you’re looking to get into an Adventure bike for a reasonable price, give me a call.
