And now for something completely different! Tomorrow is the first day of school but it looks like it will be a perfect day for a float down the Shuswap River.
We're thinking of going for a good long float from the float launch south of the bridge in Enderby downstream to Waterwheel Park (or Tuey Park). If you bring a floaty we can walk from our place (about 10 min) to the launch and we can leave a vehicle at Tuey Park to shuttle us back. The float takes about 1:30 hours and the water is just about perfect right now.
Let us know you're coming, and we'll barbecue some smokies and refreshments for afterwards. Bring something to float on (air mattress, floatie, paddleboard, flamingo or whatever)
We're going to plan on setting out between noon and 1 PM before it gets too hot as tomorrow looks like a smoking hot day.
